COURSE STRUCTURE
STEP 1: THEORY
This module introduces technicians to the fundamentals of automotive electrical diagnostics using the TEXA IDC6 platform, guiding them through navigating and configuring diagnostic menus for electric and electrical‑system‑equipped vehicles. Learners will develop an understanding of key communication protocols such as CAN and LIN, perform essential diagnostic scans, and interpret electrical system fault codes across a wide range of car and light commercial vehicle systems.
COURSE STRUCTURE
STEP 2: PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT
The second practical day of the Fundamentals of Electrics course focuses on hands‑on work with basic tools and simple circuits. Learners practise safe handling of equipment, use multimeters for basic measurements, and
assemble simple series and parallel circuits. By the end of the session, they gain confidence in wiring, testing, and understanding how current moves through a circuit.
