The new TGS2 function, TEXA Gloibal Scan

The TGS2, TEXA Global Scan 2, is a function embedded in the TEXA IDC3 proprietary operating system (the engine that drives the entire AXONE range, as well as Multi Pegaso and stand-alone PCs connected to the TEXA tools), represents the second generation in software for automatically scanning the electronic control units in the vehicles being repaired.
This innovation has been designed by TEXA to offer the technician unprecedented depth of analysis, combined with vast coverage of makes and models, something that has always been TEXA’s strong point. Compared to the first generation, TGS2 has in fact been designed expressly for the needs of multibrand workshops.
The advantages are clear, with the technician receiving immediate feedback on the devices that can be diagnosed using the TEXA tool, connected directly without requiring any special procedures.
When a vehicle enters the workshop, the technician connects the TEXA interface to the diagnostics socket; the IDC3 software scans all known systems completely automatically, without any manual procedures required.
If errors are found during this procedure, the operator can immediately access the diagnostics of the control unit in question.
If on the other hand the system is found to be working correctly, each individual electronic control unit can be accessed directly for tests or settings.
There is no doubt that this new generation scanning system is a further important step made by TEXA towards simplifying the increasingly complex work of the technician. Indeed it is no longer necessary to manually search for the place where the fault lies: TGS2 now does this directly, with clear advantages in terms of time and accuracy. Combining the TGS2 with the Google “SEARCH” function exploits the best that today’s technology has to offer in terms of the correct approach to modern vehicle repairs.
