• If the workshop does not have an Internet connection, the software can be updated from a DVD and then the data are transferred from a PC to AXONE Palm via a USB cable. (manual update).
• If the PC has connection to Internet the updates can be downloaded from TEXA server and be transferred to AXONE Palm via a USB cable. Additionally, if the workshop has an ADSL Wi-Fi connection, as well as the Internet update, the new function "SEARCH" powered by Google will be available.
• In case a workshop, with ADSL Wi-Fi connection, using several AXONE Palm’s (one for each operator) all the data is stored in one "CENTRAL SERVER" inside which every vehicle has its own "VEHICLE FOLDER".
The software update through the Internet is automatic and all the instruments can access the function "SEARCH" powered by Google simultaneously. Besides, thanks to the network of instruments internally in the workshop, the operator can have operating and management information, such as the daily work list, the deadline notes, the priority list, etc. At the end of the day, the central server automatically stores all the stored data from each repair, filed in each relevant "vehicle folder".
The Internet connection allows technicians to work in a completely different way: The AXONE Palm, once switched on, communicates autonomously with the TEXA SERVER to look for new updates. At the end of the day, once new updates have been found, the instrument connects to TEXA SERVER and downloads the data automatically. The following day, the operator will have the new updates and technical bulletins integrated in AXONE Palm, ready to deal new vehicle models. |
